During his two-day tour, PM Modi will open the second Vande Bharat Express, Tamil Sangamam, in Varanasi

On December 17 and 18, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency. On Sunday, he will inaugurate the new integrated terminal building at Surat airport, and on Monday, he will launch the second Vande Bharat Express of Kashi.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi will launch the Surat Diamond Bourse and the new integrated terminal building at the Surat airport on Sunday before going to Varanasi to participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi will launch the Surat Diamond Bourse and the new integrated terminal building at the Surat airport on Sunday before going to Varanasi to participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

According to the announcement, he would open the Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 in the Namo ghat on Sunday evening. He is scheduled to take part in the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ and open the Swarved Mahamandir in a public celebration on the following day.

In his parliamentary constituency, the prime minister is also expected to launch and lay the cornerstone for other development projects valued at over Rs 19,150 crore.

According to a PMO statement, the new integrated terminal building can accommodate 1,200 domestic and 600 international passengers during peak hours. It also has provisions to increase capacity to 3,000 passengers during peak hours, bringing the total yearly handling capacity to 55 lakh passengers.

The terminal building, which serves as the entrance to Surat city, was created with the local culture and tradition in mind. This ensures that the essence is mirrored both inside and outside, giving guests a feeling of place.

According to the announcement, the Surat Diamond Bourse would be the biggest and most contemporary hub for the global diamond and jewelry trade. It will serve as a major international hub for the trade of jewelry and polished and unpolished diamonds.

It will include a cutting-edge “Customs Clearance House” for import and export, a jewelry mall for retail jewelry sales, an international banking facility, and safe deposit boxes. According to the release, Modi would launch the Kanyakumari “Varanasi Tamil Sangamam train” and open Kashi Tamil Sangamam 2023 at Namo Ghat in keeping with his vision of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”

According to his office, throughout the last nine years, the prime minister has given particular attention to improving Varanasi’s environment and the quality of life for those living there and in the surrounding areas. “Taking another step in this direction, the prime minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects costing around Rs 19,150 crore,” stated the statement.

The approximately Rs. 10,900 crore New Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar-New Bhaupur Dedicated Freight Corridor Project will be officially opened by Modi. The Indara-Dohrighat rail line gauge conversion project and the Ballia-Ghazipur City rail line doubling project are two more railway projects that will be launched.

At the recently opened Dedicated Freight Corridor, he will flag off two Long Haul goods trains, the Dohrighat-Mau MEMU train, and the second Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express train. Additionally, according to the statement, he will launch Banaras Locomotive Works’ 10,000th locomotive.
