ED Overthrowing J’khand Government at the Center’s Request: Soren Overrules SC, Challenging Arrest

Jharkhand’s Chief Executive, Hemant Soren, presented himself before the august chambers of the Supreme Court on Thursday, contesting the apprehension orchestrated by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering imbroglio. Simultaneously, he asseverated the complicity of the central government in orchestrating this legal fracas.

In an exclusive disclosure by CNN, it was discerned that Soren, through his plea tendered to the apex court, posited that the Enforcement Directorate’s maneuvers were executed at the behest of the Central Government, with the clandestine objective of destabilizing the incumbent government in the state.

“The impugned actions of the respondent ED are orchestrated at the behest of the Central Government, intending to subvert the democratically elected governance in the State of Jharkhand. The Petitioner was apprehended within the precincts of the Governor’s residence at the stroke of 10 pm,” Soren articulated in his plea.

Expanding on his argument, he asserted that the entire proceedings in the aforementioned case lack jurisdiction, as there exists no antecedent offense against his person.

“The ED lacks the jurisdiction to scrutinize and detain the petitioner in this particular case. From the inception of these proceedings, including the inquiry, coupled with the unwarranted arrest by the respondents in a wholly capricious and high-handed manner, merits annulment. The petitioner is justly entitled to liberation from this illicit detention,” the plea expounded.
