Eight individuals ensnared in the clutches of law enforcement due to their involvement in cases of robbery and theft; assorted items confiscated

Eight people were taken into custody by the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate in connection with snatching and stealing charges.

Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that the police had received information that Rohit, Lakhwinder, and Satnam—who had been implicated in many snatching and stealing cases—were preparing to conduct an organized crime while riding a motorbike close to PIMS Hospital.

The cops quickly lay a naka close to PIMS Hospital. They motioned for them to halt so they could do some checking when they saw three people on a motorbike.

Sharma said that Rohit’s replies during questioning about who owned the motorbike were insufficient. Two cell phones were found by the police during their investigation in Satnam and Lakhwinder. Additionally, the pair was unable to establish who owned the cell phones.

According to the CP, further interrogation exposed their complicity in the theft and seizing of the motorbike and cell phones. The authorities then filed a case against the accused. The three people who were taken into custody by the police were Satnam Singh, Lakwinder Singh, also known as Money, and Rohit Kumar, who lived in the hamlet of Bhode Saprai.

Five more suspects were apprehended as a result of further inquiry, according to Swapan Sharma. They are Navpreet Singh from Prem Nagar, Jalandhar; Dishant Sharma from Arjan Nagar, Jalandhar; Debu and Shiv Sharma from Pholriwal village; and Vicky Bhode from Saprai village.

The CP stated that the accused were the subject of a complaint filed at the Division No. 7 police station in Jalandhar under Sections 379B, 379, 34, and 411 of the IPC. In their hands, the cops also found two cell phones, four tires, three motorcycles, and a scooter.
