Election 2023 News: Gehlot Could Announce More Freebies; PM Modi to Visit MP Again in Less Than a Week

On Friday, October 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his second visit to Madhya Pradesh in as many weeks and his fourth in less than a month. Five days before, he was in Gwalior.

At around 1:45 p.m., the prime minister will arrive in the state where elections are on. He will go to the Satna district’s Chitrakoot and take part in a number of events at the Shri Sadguru Seva Trust.

In addition, he is expected to visit Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, give prayers at the Raghubir temple, pay respects at Arvind Bhai Mafatlal’s sadhi, and open the Jankikund Chikitsalaya’s newest wing.

On his website, the prime minister said that Modi would also be visiting Tulsi Peeth while in Chitrakoot. He will offer darshan and puja at Kanch Mandir at about 3:15 PM.

In the meanwhile, Rajasthan’s chief minister, Ashok Gehlot, is expected to declare further giveaways. Prior to this, Priyanka Gandhi said that LPG will cost Rs 500 and Rs 10,000 annually for women. Govind Dotasra, the state leader of the Congress party, who was raided by the ED a day ago, is also anticipated to attend the chief minister’s news conference in Jaipur at 11:30 a.m.

CURRENT ELECTION CHANGES:

• The Congress announced its third list of 19 candidates for the assembly elections scheduled for November 25 in Rajasthan on Thursday, bringing the total number of nominees the party has announced to 95. This list had 13 MLAs who are currently in office, including a minister of the Cabinet.

According to the third list released by the party, the Congress has fielded Shobha Rani Kushwah from Dholpur, Rajendra Prateek from Sikar, Wajib Ali from Nagar, Harish Chandra Meena from Deoli-Uniara, Heera lal Darangi from Jhalod (ST), and Lakhan Singh Meena from Karauli, among others.

• On Thursday night, Hanuman Beniwal, the convener of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party and MP for Nagaur, declared an alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad’s Aazad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) for the November 25 assembly elections in Rajasthan.
