Election for the Lok Sabha in 2024: Faridabad is a Haryana Lok Sabha constituency. Ten parliamentary seats are held by the state. Nine Assembly segments, including Hathin, Hodal, Palwal, Prithla, Faridabad NIT, Badkhal, Ballabgarh, Faridabad, and Tigaon, make up the Faridabad seat. The constituency is open to all candidates and is not exclusive to members of Scheduled Tribes or Castes (SCs or STs). The three major political parties in the constituency are the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), the Congress, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In 1996, 1998, and 1999, Ram Chander Bainda of the BJP served as the constituency’s representative three times in a row. In 1991, 2004, and 2009, Congress leader Avtar Singh Bhadana also secured three victories for the seat.
Profile of Faridabad Constituency’s Demographics

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the Faridabad seat had 20,71,816 voters, according to figures from the Election Commission. 11,42,838 of these voters were men, and 9,28,931 were women. The third gender included 47 votes. There were 2,828 postal ballots cast in the district. In 2019, there were 6,040 service voters in Faridabad (5,832 males and 208 women).

There were 17,40,352 voters in the Faridabad constituency overall in 2014. 9,69,407 male votes and 7,70,945 female votes made up this total. With a huge majority of 6,38,239 votes, BJP candidate Krishan Pal Gurjar won the seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections for the second time in a row. With 9,13,222 votes cast, he had a 68.76% vote share. With 2,74,983 votes (20.70%), he beat Avtar Singh Bhadana, the leader of the Congress. 13,27,295 legitimate votes were cast in total. The candidate for the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Mandhir Maan, received 86,752 votes (6.53%) and finished third.

Krishan Pal Gurjar, a BJP contender, was the first to win the seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections. With 6,52,516 ballots cast, he had a 57.70% vote share. Avtar Singh Bhadana, a candidate for the Congress, finished second with 1,85,643 votes (16.42%). Gurjar triumphed against Bhadana with a total of 4,66,873 votes. 11,30,725 valid votes were cast in this constituency overall. With 1,32,472 votes (11.71%), INLD candidate RK Anand finished third, while Purshotam Dagar of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured the fourth place with 67,355 votes (4.96%).
