Elections in Madhya Pradesh: 3,832 People Submit Nominations for 230 Assembly Seats

An official said that 3,832 candidates have submitted their nominations for the November 17 elections to the 230-member Madhya Pradesh parliament.

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that the nomination process started on October 21 and completed on Monday.

He stated that as of Monday, 3,832 applicants had submitted 4,359 nominations.

According to the official, 2,489 candidates submitted 2,811 nomination forms on the last day of filing.

According to him, candidates have until November 2 to withdraw their candidacy once the papers are scrutinized on Tuesday.

Madhya Pradesh’s 230 assembly seats will go to polls on November 17 and the results will be tallied on December 3.
