Evening rain, 12 mm, cools Chandigarh

In the evening, 12.6 mm of rain fell on the city. Although the rains relieved some of the heat, they were inconvenient for commuters.

The Metrological Department reports that the city had intermittent light rain and thunderstorms. In the meantime, the city’s highest temperature—which was 1.9 degrees above average—was recorded at 37.2 °C. At 23.5 °C, the lowest recorded temperature was 2.2 degrees higher than average.

The weather service has forecast mostly bright skies for Saturday and Sunday, with some cloud cover expected on Monday and Tuesday.
