Expanding its leadership, the INDIA Alliance has appointed seven new members to several key committees

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the target of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), a coalition of 26 opposition parties, which has significantly strengthened its different working bodies. The coalition had earlier announced a 14-member central coordination committee and a 19-member campaign committee during a two-day conference in Mumbai.

Tiruchi Siva, a member of parliament for the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), and Mehboob Beg, the PDP’s leader, are notable additions to the campaign committee. They join individuals like Kiranmoy Nanda (SP), Sanjay Singh (AAP), Arun Kumar (CPI-M), Sanjay Yadav (RJD), PC Chako (NCP), Champai Soren (JMM), Gurdeep Singh Sappal (INC), Sanjay Jha (JD-U), Anil Desai (Shiv Sena-UBT), Sanjay Yadav (RJD), and others.

Dayanidhi Maran of the DMK and Rohit Jakhad of the Rashtriya Lok Dal are the new faces on the working committee in charge of monitoring the social media presence. They join the ranks of individuals such as Iltija Mehbooba (PDP), Supriya Srinate (INC), Sumit Sharma (RJD), Ashish Yadav (SP), Rajeev Nigam (SP), Raghav Chaddha (AAP), and Avindani (JMM).

Congress politician Pawan Khera and DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi have joined the working committee focusing on the media. They join established figures like Jairam Ramesh (INC), Manoj Jha (RJD), Arvind Sawant (Shiv Sena-UBT), Jitendra Ahwad (NCP), Raghav Chaddha (AAP), Rajiv Ranjan (JD-U), Pranjal (CPI-M), Ashish Yadav (SP), Supriyo Bhattacharya (JMM), Alok Kumar (JMM), Manish Kumar (JD-U), Rajeev Nigam (SP), Bhalchandran Kango (CPI), and others.

Furthermore, A Raja, a DMK leader, has been incorporated into the working group for research, joining the ranks of Amitabh Dubey (INC), Subodh Mehta (RJD), Priyanka Chaturvedi (Shiv Sena-UBT), Vandana Chavan (NCP), KC Tyagi (JD-U), Sudivya Kumar Sonu (JMM), Jasmine Shah (AAP), Alok Ranjan (SP), Imran Nabi Dar (NC), and more.

After a two-day conference in Mumbai, the INDIA group made a key decision: they would run in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections together “to the extent possible.” To prepare for a unified front against the BJP, they have also indicated their intention to start seat-sharing agreements in several states.
