Four Forest Rangers Died in an Accident in Rishikesh, and a Wildlife Warden Is Missing

Rishikesh: When their car struck a tree close to the Chilla canal in Rishikesh on Monday, four people—including two forest officials—died and one went missing, according to authorities.

SHO of the Lakshman Jhoola police station Forest rangers Shailesh Ghildiyal and Pramod Dhyani were among the dead, according to Ravi Kumar Saini, while Aloki Devi, the wildlife warden of Rajaji Tiger Reserve, went missing after falling into the canal.

He said that the other two victims of the event were Kulraj Singh and driver Saif Ali Khan of the Chilla forest community.

According to Mr. Saini, rafts scouting the canal in search of Aloki Devi are being used by the SDRF, fire department, Jal Police, and locals.

He said that four wounded parties from the collision were transferred to AIIMS, Rishikesh.

Samir Sinha, the chief wildlife warden, has hurried to the hospital.
