Governments are not governed by gangs; BJP takes aim at AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was criticized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday for declaring that Arvind Kejriwal would not step down as chief minister of Delhi and would instead lead the government from prison, claiming that gangs operate out of jails.

BJP Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari said, “Those who are repeatedly saying they will run the government from jail, remember – we have seen gangs being run from jail and not the government.”

Tiwari said that when Kejriwal was arrested, sweets were given by citizens of the nation’s capital, accusing him of robbing the city.

“He sacrificed his life to save Delhi from certain death.” Following his detention, candy was given out since the people of Delhi are furious with him. His administration has stolen and stuffed its own coffers; it has accomplished nothing constructive in Delhi. He said, “Kejriwal has plundered Delhi.”

In a case involving money laundering connected to the purported Delhi excise policy fraud, Kejriwal was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday night.

The investigating agency accused the AAP national convenor of being the mastermind behind the purported fraud, and as a result, he was placed under arrest by the ED till March 28.

In an attempt to prevent him from campaigning ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Kejriwal’s party has denied any wrongdoing and described his incarceration as a BJP plot.

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Inmate Kejriwal, has released a video statement in which she reads her husband’s message from prison.

“My countrymen, I’ve been taken into custody.” I’ll keep serving the nation whether or not I’m incarcerated. I have devoted my whole life to serving my nation. I’ve had a lot of struggles in my life, and I anticipate more. Thus, I’m not shocked by this arrest,” Ms. Kejriwal said, citing her husband’s incarceration.

She went on to exhort the populace to recognize and subdue the forces attempting to undermine India.
