Hospital reimburses parents of wounded pupils Rs 90K

A private hospital in the city finally refunded the money to the kids of the Mahendragarh bus tragedy, after initially rejecting the offer of “free treatment.” Three wounded youngsters were sent to Artemis Hospital, where two of them were required to pay an entrance fee of Rs 90,000. The hospital said that the money was reimbursed upon learning that they were also accident victims, having not been notified of this beforehand.

Following the district administration’s involvement, the hospital’s management gave the money back to the kids’ parents.

State Health Minister Kamal Gupta visited the hospital on Thursday and discussed the pupils’ care with the medical staff. He had told the hospital that the Haryana government would pay for the damaged children’s medical care.

DC According to Nishant Kumar Yadav, the parents of three children were brought to the hospital after the accident that occurred on April 11 in Kanina in the Mahendragarh district. They discovered that the parents of two youngsters had been charged Rs 90,000 for admission.

“We brought the issue to the attention of the hospital administration, who informed us that they were not fully informed of the accident at the time of admission. The hospital management acknowledged its error and repaid the money after the district administration’s involvement, according to the DC.

The Civil Surgeon, Dr. Virendra Yadav, and his staff are overseeing the treatment on behalf of the district government and the health department.
