In five years, ex-CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s assets increase 41% to Rs 810 crore

An affidavit submitted to the Election Commission on Friday states that the assets of former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his family increased by more than 41% in the last five years, reaching a total of Rs 810.42 crore.

In Kuppam on Friday, Naidu’s spouse, N Bhuvaneswari, submitted her husband’s candidacy for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election, scheduled for May 13.

The majority of the assets are owned by Bhuvaneswari, who is the owner of 2.26 crore shares of Heritage Foods Ltd., with a market value of Rs 337.85 a share. Compared to Rs 545.76 crore in 2019, the entire value of the stake is now close to Rs 764 crore.

According to the affidavit the TDP head submitted for the most recent Assembly elections, Naidu’s family held movable and immovable assets valued at Rs 574.3 crore in 2019. In addition, Bhuvaneswari has around 41.5 kilograms of silver and 3.4 kilograms of gold.

The TDP chief personally has assets valued at Rs 4.80 lakh in moveable assets and Rs 36.31 lakh in immovable assets; the family’s overall liabilities exceed Rs 10 crore. The ex-CM also has a single Ambassador vehicle, which is worth Rs 2.25 lakh.

According to the affidavit, Naidu’s name appears in as many as 24 FIRs pertaining to different crimes.

In the meantime, a TDP press statement said, “Nara Bhuvaneswari, wife of former CM N Chandrababu Naidu, today filed the official nomination on behalf of the TDP chief in Kuppam.”

Following the submission of the nomination on behalf of Chandrababu Naidu, Bhuvaneswari implored the people to make certain that the TDP’s flag is the only one flying in Kuppam. In the state, the TDP, BJP, and Janasena are members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
