In Jalandhar, 600 fruit seedlings were planted

600 fruit saplings were planted in Police Lines, various police stations, and police posts as part of a microforest plantation program on Sunday by the Jalandhar Police Commissionerate, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma.

Details were provided by CP Sharma, who said that this combined micro forest planting effort was carried out by the Commissionerate police, the Punjab Forest Department, and the Phulkari Women of Jalandhar. He claimed that up to twenty locations, such as police posts, police stations, and police lines, were selected for the planting of these seedlings.

According to him, the goal of this campaign was to increase the amount of green space in the city by guaranteeing broad involvement and influence. “To promote biodiversity and ecological balance, some 600 native plants and fruit seedlings of different kinds were planted. The goal of the campaign was to raise public awareness of climate change and the value of planting trees for the environment, according to CP.
