In Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a head constable shot and killed a teacher after a conflict

Following a conflict in the Civil Lines area of this city, an Uttar Pradesh Police head constable shot and killed a teacher, an official said on Monday.

Superintendent of Police (City) Satyanarain Parjapat claimed that the deceased, Dharmendra Kumar, was a member of a delegation from the education department from Varanasi that had delivered copies of the Uttar Pradesh Board test to the nearby SD Inter college.

He said that a police squad from Varanasi was with them, along with two workers from class four and one more instructor.

When the event occurred on Sunday night, he added, the two teams from the education department and the Varanasi police were waiting in a car for the college gate to open.

While in the car, Kumar got into a fight with head constable Chander Prakash. According to the officer, Prakash fired a shot at Kumar with his service weapon.

According to the SP, the wounded teacher was taken to the district hospital and later pronounced dead.

A complaint has been filed against the chief constable, and the corpse has been submitted for a post-mortem examination. He claimed that everyone else in the car has been detained and will be questioned.
