In Thalambur, Chennai, a karate instructor was assassinated to get revenge for sexual harassment

In a scenario straight out of a crime movie, Kanathur police on Thursday detained four individuals, including a married couple, for reportedly killing a man in retaliation for sexual harassment and burying his corpse in a Thalambur well that had been abandoned.

Loganathan, 42, of Kanathur, operated a karate school in the area, according to the local police. Additionally, he visited homes and gave some one-on-one instruction.

“For the previous three months, he had been instructing the children of the detained couple. Loganathan reportedly harassed the mother sexually when he was there. The spouse told two of his buddies about her revelation, and they came up with a plot to kill the karate instructor, according to the police.

Loganathan received a call from the lady on March 13 asking him to come to a nearby location. Loganathan was met at the location by the husband and his two buddies, who gave him alcohol. After a while, he went unconscious, and the three guys killed him by strangulation. They also used wooden planks to hit him. The karate instructor’s corpse was then dumped into a deserted well near Thalambur, they said.

Loganathan’s relatives filed a man missing report the next day. The authorities discovered that Loganathan was last seen with the lady who had been detained while reviewing CCTV video.

The woman’s and her husband’s cell phones, however, were unreachable. The authorities then tracked down their SIM network and pinpointed their hiding place in Semmencheri on Thursday.

After being taken into custody and placed under court detention, all four of them have admitted to the crime. After being pulled from the well, the corpse was transported for a postmortem examination.
