In the next years, Delhi MCD Schools Will Undergo a Complete Transformation: Atishi

Asserting that the AAP-led municipal body is determined to giving its kids a world-class education, Education Minister Atishi said on Saturday that schools managed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi would be “completely transformed” in the next years.

She emphasized Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s belief that teachers can provide world-class education to children when they are exposed to the best teaching practices throughout the globe. To that end, MCD school teachers would soon be sent overseas for training.

A large Parents Teachers Meet (PTM) was held at schools managed by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Saturday.

According to a statement from the Delhi education department, parents actively participated in conversations during the PTM regarding their children’s learning, performance, and methods to improve it.

Atishi and Mayor Shelly Oberoi spoke with parents and kids at MCD schools in Indira Kalyan Vihar and DDA Flats, respectively, in Okhla, it was reported.

Education became our top focus under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s guidance, and as a consequence, all Delhi government schools became superb. Children from all societal groups are enjoying top-notch education here. Atishi was cited in the release as stating, “Right now, we are bringing similar changes to MCD schools, fulfilling the chief minister’s promise and working to make them world-class too.”

Additionally, she said that the complete development of children can only be “ensured through collaborative efforts of teachers and parents”.

The PTM gave parents faith and hope that the MCD schools will soon be “transformed like Delhi government schools and their children will get a high-quality education,” according to the statement.

In a subtle jab at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), she said that they had started to raise the caliber of instruction in MCD schools by giving students and instructors access to necessary amenities that they had supposedly been “deprived of for 15 years.”

According to her, “positive changes in schools are already visible within a few months” under the AAP’s leadership in MCD.

Over the following years, it will continue to “completely transform MCD schools” at a twice the rate. According to Atishi, there will soon be lengthy lines outside MCD schools seeking admittance to the nursery class.

While speaking with parents at MCD schools, Mayor Oberoi said that the chief minister’s key ambition is to prioritize bettering education for children and making it the nation’s top priority.

She emphasized that educated youngsters help the country advance and that India’s growth may be greatly aided by an educated community.
