In the PSEB Class X examinations, Amritsar district’s Karmanpreet placed third

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) released the Class X board exam results today, and females took home the top three spots. In the top two places were Aditi and Alisha Sharma from Ludhiana, while in third place was Karmanpreet Kaur from Baba Bakala, Amritsar. She received 645 marks out of 650, or 99.23%. A total of 316 students were included on the merit list this year.

A total of 27,680 pupils took the Class X PSEB board examinations in Amritsar; 27,469 passed, yielding an overall pass rate of 99.24, and 29 students were placed in the top 20 state merit lists. Rajesh Sharma, DEO Secondary, thanked all the deserving kids and noted that this year’s scores were better than the previous year’s. He said, “It’s encouraging to see so many students scoring above 90%.”

Karmanpreet, a student at Amber Public School, Baba Bakala, celebrated her board exam triumph with her family and the staff there. Her mother Harmeet Kaur stays at home while her father Jagrup Singh works as a farmer. “I believe that one can bring about a change in society through law enforcement, and I want to become the first girl from my family to join the police force,” she said while expressing her desire to become a police officer.
