In the water treatment facility of Haiderpur, three little youngsters drown

An official said that three young boys, ages 13 to 15, drowned on Wednesday in the Munak canal near the Haiderpur water treatment plant in Delhi.

The officer said that at around 3:30 pm, the KNK Marg police station got a police control room (PCR) call alleging the drowning of three youngsters in the Munak canal near the Haiderpur water treatment plant.

“A police squad quickly responded to the call and arrived at the spot. Teams from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and the Fire Brigade thereafter made their way to the scene, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) GS Sidhu.

After the remains were discovered in the canal, a rescue mission was launched.

“The boys who were not breathing were taken to Dr. BSA Hospital in Rohini, where medical professionals pronounced them deceased,” the officer said. The remains were then sent to the hospital morgue for post-mortem analysis.

The officer went on to say that the lads lived at Bhalswa Dairy.
