Increased industrial accidents in the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh region

at the most recent incident, two people were sick due to a gas leak at the plant, and Kamlesh Yadav, an employee of the pharmaceutical company Marine Medicare in Mandala village, Baddi, lost his life as a result of breathing in toxic fumes. Production was in progress when the incident happened yesterday afternoon, but workers had to start running out of gas due to a stinky gas leak.

The owner of the flat, Kamlesh Yadav, attempted to put out the fire by going inside the building. But as he breathed in toxic vapors, his health deteriorated. After being taken to the hospital, he was declared dead. Yadav (33) was from the Uttar Pradeshi town of Balia. After leaving the facility, workers began to throw up. It is said that the three hospitalized workers’ conditions are stable.

On a complaint from the mechanical officer, SP Baddi Ilma Afroz notified that a case under sections 336 and 304-A of the IPC for causing death due to carelessness had been launched.

Another fire event occurred in Jharmajri on February 2, resulting in up to nine fatalities. The Baddi police were unable to apprehend the unit owners for many weeks. They are free on high court-mandated anticipatory bail.

The effectiveness of the agencies tasked with guaranteeing worker safety has been called into doubt.
