IndiGo announces daily service beginning on May 15 with direct flights from Chandigarh to Abu Dhabi

One of the top airlines in India, IndiGo, is getting ready to start offering a daily direct route from Abu Dhabi to Chandigarh, which would make it easy to travel between the two cities.

Beginning on May 15, visitors may wave goodbye to layovers and experience seamless connections from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport to the dynamic capital of the United Arab Emirates.

On May 15, at 10.15 p.m., the maiden flight will depart Abu Dhabi and arrive in Chandigarh at 3.30 a.m. IST the following day. According to Hindustan Times, the first aircraft from Chandigarh will make its return voyage on May 16 at 2.45 am IST and land in Abu Dhabi at 5.15 am local time after a seamless four hours of travel.

Remarkably, this affordable flight’s roundtrip ticket comes in at just Rs 66,000, which makes it a desirable choice for both business and pleasure visitors.

With great pleasure, Vinay Malhotra, head of IndiGo’s global sales, announced direct flights between Chandigarh and Abu Dhabi. Customers will have more alternatives for travel between the United Arab Emirates and northern India thanks to this new route.

The airport’s CEO, Rakesh Ranjan Sahay, announced the flight schedule and said, “Bookings for this sector have commenced.” Customs and immigration will also need to facilitate this flight, so we will be meeting with them as well.

In addition to improving connections internationally, the increased accessibility is anticipated to draw more visitors to Chandigarh and Punjab from Abu Dhabi and other regions, consequently stimulating the region’s tourism economy.

As part of the summer schedule that was unveiled on April 1, the airport has also increased its domestic connection by adding two more destinations: Dharamshala and Jammu. These connections are made possible by Alliance Air and IndiGo, which gives travelers even more alternatives for where to go.

Numerous important domestic routes are now served by the Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, including those to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Leh, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, Patna, Pune, and Srinagar.

Since March 31, when the summer schedule went into force, the airport has seen a significant rise in flights—94 overall, including arrivals and departures—compared to 74 in the winter timetable.
