Investigation into Visakhapatnam fishing harbor fire incident ordered by Andhra CM

On Monday, Jagan Mogan Reddy, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, gave the government instructions to look into the fire incident that occurred at the fishing harbor in Visakhapatnam.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Office (CMO) said that “Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered the officials to conduct a deep investigation into the incident.”
On the intervening hours of Sunday and Monday, a large fire started at the fishing harbor in Visakhapatnam, according to the police.

Earlier, Chief Minister Reddy directed the authorities to provide 80 per cent of the burnt boats’ worth as compensation to the fishermen who lost their boats in the Visakhapatnam fishing harbor fire.

On the Chief Minister’s orders, the District Collector and Minister Seediri Appalaraju visited the disaster site and gave the victims who had lost their boats the help they needed. Nine more boats sustained minor damage and 36 burnt in the collision.

The fishermen’s life have been severely harmed by the harbor fire incident that damaged the boats. When it comes to providing relief, the issue should be handled in the most humane of ways. Eighty percent of the worth of the destroyed boats is being disclosed as compensation since the help is supposed to be able to save the lives of fishermen, according to Chief Minister Jagan.

He went on to say that just because the boats lack insurance does not mean that the impacted fishermen should be left on their own. The CM made it plain to the authorities that it was their duty to provide them complete assurance when things became tough.

The Chief Minister was informed by the CMO authorities that the loss is projected to be about Rs 12 crore, and the officials are now working on the final report. CM Jagan had earlier expressed his surprise and given the go-ahead for a thorough probe into the occurrence by the authorities.
