It seems probable that Sunita Kejriwal would run for AAP in Gujarat
According to reports on Tuesday, Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is expected to campaign for the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat during the Lok Sabha elections.
Later in the day, the party is probably going to reveal its roster of celebrity candidates running in Gujarat.
According to a party insider, “she is likely to campaign for AAP candidates in Gujarat.”
On March 21, the Enforcement Directorate detained Chief Minister Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case involving excise laws. He is now being held by the courts at Tihar.
The AAP is running for two of Gujarat’s 26 Lok Sabha seats as part of the INDIA bloc, Bharuch and Bhavnagar, while its partner Congress is running for the other 24 seats.
Chaitar Vasava from Bharuch and Umesh Makwana from Bhavnagar are the candidates put up by the AAP.
The Gujarat Lok Sabha elections are scheduled for May 7 in a single phase, with nomination papers due by April 19.
