It was his own fault that the family was split: Sharmila

leader Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the Congress was to blame for the division of his family the day before his sister and APCC leader YS Sharmila alleged Jagan was to blame for the split.

Speaking on Thursday in Kakinada, Sharmila said that she had started a yatra to install her brother as chief minister. After taking office as chief minister, he changed his behavior drastically and stopped trying to fulfill the dreams of their late father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Sharmila said that her mother YS Vijayamma is a witness to all the events and that Jagan was the one who caused the family to split. “After he becomes the CM, Jagan pledged to make the leaders who quit for his benefit ministers. She said, “How many of the ten leaders who resigned were made ministers now?” adding that she and her mother had worked hard to ensure the leaders’ success.

When the party was going through difficult times, Sharmila recounted, she was requested to start padayatra, and she complied without even thinking about her kids. Later on, I participated in the Odarpu Yatra in Telangana and the Samaikyandhra Yatra. She said that I ran around the town with the extremely well-known slogan “Bye Bye Babu” before the 2019 elections and that she did all of this to get her brother elected as chief minister.

She said that once Jagan was appointed CM, he drastically changed, but she didn’t raise a problem since she assumed he would work for his father YSR’s goals. According to Sharmila, the YSR’s ideal project, Polavaram, was not completed by either the TDP or the YSRC administrations. “When YSR was in power, agriculture was like a festival, called panduga.” She said, “Nowadays, it has turned into dandaga (waste),” and questioned how Jagan could continue the YSR tradition.
