Karnal: CC road construction on the Karna Canal has begun

Work has finally started on the bitumen length of Karna Canal Market, formerly known as Mughal Canal Market, to turn it into a cement concrete (CC) road, over two months after the project was officially launched. According to sources, the delay was caused by the lack of a location for processing materials for road construction. The webpage has now been finalized by the agency.

“The project is currently underway and should be finished in six months. Both lanes would need spending a total of around 2.5 kilometers and Rs 2.43 crore, according to Priyanka Saini, Executive Engineer, Karnal Municipal Corporation (KMC).

She went on to say that the agency has started the process of taking one lane’s top layer off. For merchants, this will guarantee the least amount of operational disturbance.

The market’s two lanes are in terrible shape and have many potholes, which makes them dangerous for vehicles.

The XEN insisted that they would guarantee high-quality work, for which appropriate oversight would be conducted.

The locals expressed their excitement about the relocation and suggested that the KMC guarantee quick work. Puneet Kumar, a local, said, “The authorities must make sure that the work is done as soon as possible so that our businesses are not affected.”
