Karnataka: A former classmate fatally stabbed the daughter of a Congress corporator at the Hubbali college campus

On Thursday, a friend of the daughter of a Congress corporator is suspected of stabbing her to death on the college campus in Hubbali, Karnataka.

Neha Hiremath, a 21-year-old MCA student in her first year at KLE Technological University and the daughter of Niranjan Hiremath, was fatally assaulted.

Police reported that the accused, an MCA dropout named Fayaz, had been detained in relation to the incident. They said that the two had been BCA classmates. CCTV video footage recorded the whole event.

Fayaz approached the college campus armed with a knife, according to the police, and stabbed Neha five times. He was hurt in the incident as well, and he was taken to the hospital alongside the victim. On arrival, Neha, however, was pronounced dead.

 

“He (Fayaz) said during questioning that they had been in a relationship and that she had abruptly stopped talking to him. According to PTI, a senior police official said, “He was arrested immediately, but it needs to be corroborated and verified.”

Fayaz is noteworthy since he is a government school teacher’s son and left college six months ago after failing an exam. A murder case pertaining to the event has been filed.
