Kerala bar shootout results in six arrests

In relation to a recent gunshot incident that took place outside a city club, police apprehended six persons on Wednesday. for firing shots at two bar employees, Vineeth, the main accused, is still at large and is being sought for.

The people who have been arrested are Manu M. Nair, 35, of Pallilangara, Thrikkakara North; Mithun Krishna A. M., 26, of Puliyinam, Parakkadav, Angamaly; Sabareenath E. R. alias Appus, 30; Najeem V. A., 40, of Muthalakkodam, Thodupuzha; Shaheed V. P., 33, of Randathani, Malappuram; and Shanil T. S., 36, of Methala, Kodungallur. On Wednesday, Manu was arrested at a place near his residence.

He was one of the five members of the group that went to buy alcohol on Sunday night at the Hotel Edassery Mansion in the city. A shoot-out broke out next, injuring two bar staff members. According to police officials, Manu was inside the car when the event occurred, and his CCTV video was not available for use in the first phases of the inquiry.
