Kerala LDF members arrest a businessman who is supporting a Congress candidate

Businessman Biju Ramesh was apprehended by LDF personnel on Friday night close to Aruvikkara. They said he went there to solicit votes and give out money for UDF candidate Adoor Prakash.

in around 7:00 p.m., Biju and a few companions were taken into custody in Vadakkemala Colony. The Election Commission and police were notified by the LDF workers.

Biju and the others were taken to Aruvikkara station by the police. Biju said that when they went there to see a local Congress leader, they were taken into custody.

Biju went to the police to lodge a complaint after claiming that someone who was with him had been assaulted by LDF supporters. He said that neither the car he drove nor the residence he had visited had any cash.

The Vadakkemala colony is part of the constituency of Attingal Lok Sabha. The UDF candidate, Adoor, is close to Biju’s family.
