Khattar: Haryana is making the NCR a logistics center

According to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana is deliberately transforming the National Capital Region (NCR) into a strong logistics and storage center.

The CM said that several initiatives, including expressways, railroads, and national highways, are ongoing to improve logistics connections while also officially establishing the Grocery Supply Center in Sonipat and laying the cornerstone for Flipkart’s regional distribution center in Manesar.

The Global Smart City and Mass Rapid Transit System in Gurugram and the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Narnaul, which spans 886 acres and costs US$ 700 million in cooperation with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project, are among the important projects, according to Khattar, that are already under way.

The CM said that current initiatives like as the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor of Railways, and the Gurugram-Alwar route are expected to improve logistical connectivity.

He said that land acquisition for the about Rs 6000 crore Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, which has obtained sanction, had already begun. In addition, Khattar said that 17 national roads will be built in Haryana, guaranteeing complete connectivity by the end of 2024.

According to the CM, the creation of Global City in the Gurugram district marks a new stage in the growth of the neighborhood. The construction of Global City, which will be built on around 1000 acres of land, is likewise moving quickly forward.

He said that there is a good chance that this project would get an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore. Because of this, not just in the NCR but also the whole state would see a creation of lakhs of job chances.

By 2024–2025, according to Khattar, the state expects to contribute over Rs 14 lakh crore to the national GDP.

This tremendous development is being fuelled by the state’s investor-friendly laws and hospitable business climate, he noted.

The CM said that Flipkart is making large investments in Haryana, including the construction of a 140-acre regional distribution center in Manesar that would cost Rs 1389 crore.

About 10,000 people will have the opportunity to find direct and indirect jobs as this distribution center grows to be the biggest in Asia. Additionally, according to Khattar, the food supply center for Flipkart in Sonipat would provide around 2,000 direct and indirect employment possibilities.
