Killing ultras on home soil under a strict government: Modi

Days after India refuted a claim by international media that it had eradicated militants in Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that terrorists were now being slain on their own soil as a result of a strong central government.

“During a rally in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, we have a government that has strengthened India many times in comparison to the past,” the prime minister said.

The prime minister seemed certain that this time, in the mountainous state, the BJP will win three straight seats. “Our troops are protected now by bulletproof vests produced in India. India is already producing everything domestically, including guns and fighter planes. The PM remarked that the Congress had not even made sure that our border regions had efficient communication, calling the previous UPA government, headed by the Congress, “grossly apathetic” regarding the modernization of troops.
