Launching 2,000 train infrastructure projects valued at Rs 41,000 crore, PM Modi reaffirms his commitment to a “developed India.”

By video conference on Monday, February 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the groundwork for the reconstruction of 554 railway stations in more than 300 districts across 27 states under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, as well as 1500 roads over bridges and roads under bridges across Indian Railways. On this day, he also opened the Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking at the event, the prime minister said that India is working at a “unprecedented speed” and making significant progress in its infrastructure.

“Today’s program is a representation of the new Indian work culture. India now has huge dreams and works day and night to realize them; this is the determination of this evolved India, he added. India does all it undertakes with unparalleled speed.

“I launched five AIIMS and several other medical facilities yesterday from Rajkot. Today, the redevelopment of 554 railway stations spread over more than 300 districts throughout 27 states has laid its foundation. In Uttar Pradesh, I have also opened the Gomti Nagar railway station. The foundation stone for 1500 Road Under Bridges and Road across Bridges across Indian Railways was laid today, he said.

He observed that everyone is surprised by the scope of the job being done.

Over 2,000 railway-related projects have had their foundation stones placed and opened today. June will mark the beginning of this government’s third term, but everyone is surprised by the scope and pace of the work that has already been begun, he added.
