“Left-Backed PFI Threat to National Security”: The Southern Outreach Plan’s Top Priority for the BJP is Kerala

The two visits by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Kerala in a two-week period signal the BJP’s intensified effort to establish more influence in the southern state.

Senior BJP and RSS members in Kerala claim that the parties are collaborating with the Hindu-Christian support base to corner the “fundamental forces” of the Leftist-Communist dictatorship in the region, including organizations that are outlawed like the People’s Federation of India (PFI).

The prime minister was greeted by representatives of several groups in Kochi, including Christian and Dalit communities. According to News18, the receiving community included prominent figures as well as representatives from the Orthodox Christian, Jacobite, and Syro Malabar communities.

Regarding the political struggle, the Kerala-based top BJP officials said that the Sangh Parivar’s intellectual war against the Leftists had advanced significantly. The RSS overthrew them in Tripura and assisted Mamata Banerjee in destroying them in West Bengal, therefore Kerala is the final Red fort.

The head of the Kerala BJP unit, K Surendran, said, “With PM Modi’s special attention, Kerala’s BJP is growing stronger.” An enormous effort has been made to improve the organization and engage with the public. The party in the government, which supports groups like PFI, must be removed. The national security is at risk from them.

The Sneha Yatra garnered “positive” comments for the BJP once it began in December. “We visited eight lakh Christian houses in all, and we never encountered or saw any hostile behavior from any of them. We have the backing of the Christian community as well, and they are coming in large numbers, Surendran said.

NOT MERELY A RELIGIOUS OR POLITICAL OUTREACH
The BJP has been attempting to gain ground in many states in the south. Additionally, outreach programs were held in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Nonetheless, PM Modi has shown a strong interest in Kerala during the last 12 months.

Though its strength did not convert into seats in the most recent Parliamentary elections, the RSS in Kerala has always been a force to be reckoned with for its excellent organization. However, Surendran said that among the state’s 20 Lok Sabha seats, the BJP received more than 34% of the vote in four of them in 2019.

In addition to political and religious endeavors, PM also employs a developmental strategy in its outreach in Kerala. He inaugurated three significant infrastructure projects in Kochi during his two-day visit, totaling more than Rs 4,000 crore: the LPG Import Terminal of Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Puthuvypeen, the International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) of CSL, and the New Dry Dock (NDD) at Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).

Kerala has seen the majority of the violent fights between Communist cadres and RSS volunteers, according to a top RSS official. Numerous volunteers of ours met their violent ends in the state. They are still battling, however. The state has a long-standing Indian custom. However, it has become more Islamic with the active assistance of the present political regime. Over the last several years, there has been an increase in smuggling and money laundering instances due to the state’s active connections with many Middle Eastern nations. The functionary said that the security and sovereignty of India depend on Kerala electing a nationalist administration.

Nonetheless, the CPM leaders reject such assertions. “They (BJP) are doing this divisive politics everywhere,” a senior CPM MP from Kerala said. In the country’s north, they are somewhat respected, although Keralans are aware of the truth. People of the state live in harmony and have a diversified society. The state’s infrastructure for healthcare and education has been improved to the highest standard in the nation thanks to the efforts of our administration. Here, the public will not be duped by the BJP.
