Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amit Shah, the Home Minister, will speak at two rallies in Assam the next week

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to speak at public gatherings in at least two Assamese locations ahead of the state’s Lok Sabha elections in order to support the BJP’s candidates. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the Lok Sabha election in the state would take place in three stages and that the BJP’s candidates have already begun their election campaigns in order to garner support, according to a news agency ANI report.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, informed reporters that Amit Shah will visit the state on April 6. He is scheduled to speak at two public gatherings, one in Hojai and one in Lakhimpur. It has been reported that HM Shah would first visit Lakhimpur to support BJP candidate Pradan Baruah upon his arrival in Assam.

Amit Shah will eventually arrive at Hojai, which is a part of the Kaziranga Lok Sabha constituency. For that seat, the BJP has put forward Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, a former member of the Lok Sabha and MP for the Rajya Sabha. As for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Assam, the party’s state unit has been coordinating with the upper echelons of the organisation to arrange it.

CM of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma Responds
“We are in talks with the Prime Minister’s Office to finalise his programme,” stated Chief Minister Sarma. I’m hoping that in a day or two the timetable will be completed. On April 19, Assam will hold its first round of elections, with five Lok Sabha seats up for grabs.

“The candidates of our party have begun their election campaigns in their various seats and have convened meetings at the panchayat level. Every day, each candidate addresses ten to twelve gatherings. On April 1, I’ll launch my campaign for election in Majuli by taking part in a cycling rally. Our election campaign revolves around a socioeconomic survey. Our Prabharis are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and we have prepared the socioeconomic survey. This time, the campaign’s most significant component will be the socioeconomic survey, which will begin on April 1 or 2, to find out whether any beneficiaries have been excluded from any of the five primary government programmes to which they are eligible. Nearly every home will be visited by our karyakartas. The management committee met for the second time today and spoke about election preparations, according to the Assam chief minister.

According to Chief Minister Sarma, there would be a fierce contest for two seats in the Lok Sabha and the BJP and its allies would win 11 seats with a clear mandate.
