Lok Sabha elections 2024: Rahul Gandhi tells voters: “Open ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ in every corner by defeating hatred”

In the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, called on voters to reject hate in order to fortify democracy and establish ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ across the nation.

“The first round of voting is today! Recall that every vote you cast will determine how Indian democracy develops over the next few generations. So cast your ballot, heal the wounds inflicted on the nation’s spirit over the last ten years, and help to strengthen democracy. “Open the ‘Mohabbat ki Dukan’ in every corner and defeat hatred,” the Congress leader wrote on X.

Particularly urging young people and those who are voting for the first time to cast their ballots in huge numbers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that every vote counts and every voice matters.

“The election for 2024 starts now! I urge everyone who will be voting in the 102 seats spread over 21 states and UTs to exercise their right to vote in unprecedented numbers. I especially urge young people who are voting for the first time to cast a lot of ballots. Every voice matters and every vote matters, after all,” the PM said in a post on X.

Gandhi also released a graphic outlining the main promises made by the Congress to the populace, such as the legal assurance of MSP, the right to apprenticeship, and a national caste census.

Polling for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 began on Friday, covering 102 seats spread across 21 states and Union territories.

Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Sarbanada Sonowal, and Bhupendra Yadav, Congressman Gaurav Gogoi, Kanimozhi of the DMK, and BJP member K Annamalai are among those involved.
Concurrent assembly elections are also being conducted in Sikkim (32 seats) and Arunachal Pradesh (60 seats).

After suffering setbacks in the elections of 2014 and 2019, the members of the opposition INDIA alliance are looking for a comeback, while the BJP-dominated NDA, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is aiming for a larger majority.
