Lok Sabha elections: starting on April 7, Amit Shah will spend two days in Tripura

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to go to the Northeastern states to conduct poll campaigning ahead of the nation’s Lok Sabha elections.
He would be the first prominent BJP leader to declare the poll and begin campaigning in the area.

Home Minister Shah will speak at an election rally in Aalo, in the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, on April 6. He will also meet with state BJP leaders to discuss matters pertaining to the election, according to BJP sources on Friday.

On April 7, the Home Minister will go to Tripura for a two-day election campaign after his visit to Arunachal Pradesh. There, he would speak at electoral rallies and do a road show in Agartala.
Shah will meet with the leaders of the state party in a crucial meeting before departing the state on April 8.

Notably, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha mentioned the Home Minister’s impending visit to the state at a meeting he had with party leaders on Thursday night.

Amit Shah will participate in the BJP’s campaign in Assam and other Northeastern states.
Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Nitin Gadkari, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President JP Nadda, and several Central leaders and MPs, including Hema Malini, are expected to travel to the North Eastern states for a rigorous BJP camping campaign.

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, will visit Assam on April 6, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.
The Union Home Minister will speak at two election rallies in Lakhimpur and Hojai, which are within the jurisdiction of the Kaziranga parliamentary seat, according to the Assam state BJP.
