Lok Sabha poll: Teams of CRPF and Panchkula police march around the city with flags

A flag march was organized by the Panchkula police and CRPF forces in anticipation of the next general elections.

Himadri Kaushik, the deputy commissioner of police for Panchkula, said that police were maintaining a watch at the city’s border. In the city’s border regions, we have jointly erected checkpoints with the CRPF. To stop the illicit smuggling of alcohol, every person crossing the border is being rigorously watched. Additionally, we are closely monitoring nine interstate checkpoints that surround the area,” the spokesperson said.

According to police authorities, flag marches were held around the city at a number of locations, including Budhanpur Colony and Rajiv Colony. They also mentioned the presence of PCR vans and police riders throughout the marches.

According to DCP Kaushik, the police are putting extensive security plans in place for the general election. The idea of a flag march is to provide people a feeling of security so they may freely exercise their right to vote. Regarding the misappropriation of money, alcohol, and other stuff during the election campaigns, we will not put up with carelessness,” she said.
