Maharashtra: A worker at a chemical business in Palghar drowns after slipping into a STP water tank

According to authorities on Sunday, a 22-year-old worker at a chemical industry in Palghar district perished after slipping into the water tank of a sewage treatment plant (STP), as reported by news agency PTI.

According to them, the incident happened at the facility in the Boisar industrial district on Saturday at approximately midday.

According to a Palghar police control room officer, Ankit Yadav, the victim, was working at the chemical factory’s STP when he unintentionally slipped into the water tank and drowned, as PTI reported.

Local firefighters raced to the scene and removed the corpse when the other occupants of the facility sounded an alert, according to PTI.

According to the officer, the corpse was transferred to a government hospital for a postmortem examination and an accidental death complaint was filed.

A police officer stated on Friday that a 40-year-old man was killed by a blow to the head in Palghar, Maharashtra, as PTI reported.

According to a Virar police station officer, Deepak Chavan’s corpse was discovered early in the morning on the side of a road going to a quarry near Naringi Kopri, as reported by PTI.

“Unknown people killed him by striking him with a stone. To find and apprehend them, three teams have been assembled,” he said.

Three people were detained on Friday while trying to flee on a long-distance train for allegedly stealing jewelry and cash worth close to Rs 7.5 lakh from a residence in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, an official said, according to PTI.

A home in Vasai was broken into on March 7 while its residents were abroad, according to senior inspector Raju Mane of the Manickpur police station, as reported by PTI.

Subsequently, the family claimed that the theft had cost them cash and valuables totaling Rs 7.52 lakh. According to PTI, the police filed a FIR and started an investigation.

The officer said that on Wednesday, the police apprehended the three suspects from Gorakhpur Express in Nashik after identifying them using CCTV video, intelligence, and technological assistance.

According to PTI, he said that all of the pilfered jewelry and money had been found and recovered from the defendants, Rakesh Kumar, also known as Chakki Ramraj Yadav (33), Mohammad Sayeed, Shannu Garibulla Khan (37), and Lalkesar, also known as Baccha Dadan Rai (27).

Rai is a native of the Fadarwadi neighborhood of Vasai, whilst Yadav and Khan are from Mumbai. He stated that the three are mentioned in several complaints filed with the Goregaon police in Mumbai, as reported by PTI.
