Man nabbed with a Rs. 25K reward

On Tuesday, a squad from the STF apprehended a wanted offender from Punhana who had a reward of Rs 25,000.

The culprit, known as Isha from the Mathura area of Uttar Pradesh, has been at large since a case under the Arms Act was registered last year, according to a police officer speaking here today.

For the previous several years, he was reportedly caught obtaining illegal firearms from various regions of Uttar Pradesh and delivering them to the area. Following his disappearance in 2023, the police declared a reward of Rs 25,000 in relation to two offenses that were filed against him.

In a different incident, yesterday night the police apprehended a proclaimed criminal from the district’s vicinity who was sought in two offenses pertaining to the POCSO Act and the Mining Act. The defendants had been evading capture for nine years until they were apprehended in 2015 and 2017.
