MC begins the city’s rubbish collection campaign

The municipal organization has taken decisive action against the problem of discarded waste in the royal city and launched a 15-day cleanup program. Garden and construction debris were discovered in various areas, including the city’s major roadways, according to MC Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, who also said that an assessment of the cleanliness preparations on the city’s main roads was carried out.

He said that in order to combat this threat, collaborative teams consisting of gardeners, civic wing sweepers, and sanitation personnel have been organized as part of a specific push to improve the city’s cleanliness.

The MC Commissioner said that from April 19 to May 3, all of the city’s major thoroughfares will be cleaned. He noted that as part of this project, combined teams from the engineering wing, health department, and horticulture department will clear

the path.

He said that the cleaning will take place in stages, starting with the cleaning of Banna route to Ghalori Gate and continuing with the clearing of the major route from Rajpura Road to the Old Bus Stand.

In addition, citizens were asked to refrain from littering the roadways and to help the Patiala Municipal Corporation in this campaign. The royal city’s citizens have been asked to exclusively dispose of their trash in the designated dustbins provided by the MC, according to the MC Commissioner.
