Mehbooba Mufti asserts that her cellphone number’s outbound calls have been stopped

Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the PDP, said on Saturday that there has been no explanation for the suspension of outgoing calls on her cell phone.

“Since this morning, I have been unable to make any calls. “This sudden suspension of services on the day of polling in the Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency is without explanation,” Mehbooba told PTI.

Voting in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, where the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir is running, is now taking place.

The PDP brought up the matter in a post on X as well.

“Ms. Mehbooba Mufti’s @MehboobaMufti mobile phone service has been unexpectedly terminated just before the elections. Numerous PDP employees and poll workers were held across the voting district last evening and early this morning, according to the statement.

Mehbooba said in a letter to the Election Commission on Friday that PDP workers and poll workers had been arrested by the police.

“A large number of our PDP poll workers and agents are being arrested just before the election. The family were informed that SSP Anantnag & DIG South Kashmir are behind it when they went to the police stations. The PDP leader had said on X, “We’ve written to @ECISVEEP hoping for their timely intervention.”
