Mehbooba Mufti states in the PDP platform that “Article 370 abrogation is illegal.”

Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the People’s Democratic Party, said that the abrogation of Article 370 was unlawful in her party manifesto, which she issued the day after she submitted her nomination papers for the Rajouri-Anantnag seat.

Mehbooba criticized the administration for driving J&K residents toward collective disempowerment and converting J&K into an open-air jail, characterizing the suspension of cross-LoC commerce as “arbitrarily.”

She said that the Mughal Road Tunnel, Saadhna Tunnel, and Rajdhaani Tunnel development will be her party’s top priorities, along with bringing attention to the problem of connectivity.

According to the manifesto, a portion of MP’s local area money would be allocated to support skill centers by supplying computers, laptops, and sewing machines. “The absence of restrooms in schools causes everyday inconveniences for females who attend school. According to the manifesto, funds would be allocated to construct hygienic restrooms so as not to impair their education.

“I will strive to provide youth with recreational facilities like playgrounds, sports equipment, and laptops at educational institutions and skill centers through my MPLAD funds,” Mehbooba said.

Although the PDP’s platform states that it would work to bring back electricity projects to the Union Territory, it also calls for the establishment of comprehensive garbage collection and management services in Jammu and Kashmir.

Nonetheless, a lengthy discussion on the repeal of Article 370 and the subsequent events can be found in the manifesto.

Following the unlawful repeal of Article 370 in 2019, J&K was transformed into an open-air jail. The manifesto states, “There has been an ongoing assault on our collective identity, land, jobs, resources, and the very freedom to speak.”

“Numerous decisions were being made on a daily basis to disempower and dispossess the people from thousands of kilometers away in Delhi,” it states.

“Starting with making drastic changes to the state subjects and land laws,” the administration was accused of.

Even construction projects are being given to outsiders. Numerous government workers have been let go on dubious reasons. Since 2019, every recruiting campaign has been tarnished by enigmatic frauds. Consequently, denying our diligent candidates for employment options,” the manifesto states.

Our thriving horticultural industry has been the backbone of our economy. According to the manifesto, this has also suffered greatly from a number of anti-trade actions, such as the elimination of tax barriers on imported walnuts and apples.

“Tribal groups that have lived on their lands for centuries, such as the Gujjars, Bakerwals, and Paharis, are being forcefully removed from them. Consequently making them homeless,” it reads.
