MotoGP, UP ITS: Noida Police Requests Businesses To Take Into Account WFH To Reduce Road Traffic

The Noida Police requested private businesses on Saturday to take into account offering workers the option to work from home (WFH) as well as modifying shift times to lessen road traffic in anticipation of the MotoGP and the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UP ITS) the following week.

At the commissionerate office in Sector 108, the police met with private business organizations, industries’ associations, and groups of entrepreneurs, among other stakeholders.

An official statement claims that Deputy Commissioner of Police for Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav and Additional Commissioner of Police (law and order) Anand Kulkarni presided over the meeting.

The MotoGP Bharat races will take held from September 22 to September 24, while the UP ITS is slated to run from September 21 to September 25. The festivities in Greater Noida are anticipated to be attended by President Droupadi Murmu.

According to the police, “the police made an appeal for support from business organizations, entrepreneurs, and industries during the meeting on Saturday to maintain traffic order throughout the event and strictly abide by all the guidelines issued by the police as well as the administration.”

It said, “Appeals were also made to the workforce of the industry, particularly in the information technology sector, to consider working from home and changing the schedule of their shifts so that there is no traffic demand during the MotoGP and the UP ITS.

The stakeholders were informed at the meeting that these are “world-class events” that, if properly organized, “will bring glory to our country,” according to the statement.

For the programs to be organized with mutual cooperation, the police also solicited ideas from the participants and instructed the appropriate officers to review them for future action.

According to Kulkarni, there would be certain limitations on the entrance of large and commercial vehicles into the Gautam Buddh Nagar area due to the upcoming international events.

The officer said that there will be no restrictions on the mobility of trucks providing healthcare and vital services.
