Mukhtar Ansari was buried at Ghazipur next to the tomb of his parents

at the midst of strict security measures, Mukhtar Ansari, a former mafia don who became a politician, had his mortal bones interred on Saturday at his family cemetery at Kalibagh in Yusufpur.

The graves of Mukhtar’s mother, Begum Rabia Khatoon, and father, Subhanullah Ansari, were dug up next to one other.

Thousands of people attended the burial, which was held from his home to the cemetery. However, only family members were permitted entry inside the cemetery, which meant that hundreds had collected outside and that it was difficult for the police to keep them under control.

Additionally, the throng chanted anti-administration and anti-BJP sentiments.

When Omar, Mukhtar’s son, saw the large gathering, he seized the microphone himself. He urged everyone to calm down and take a step back.

However, as the family members had left the funeral, the mob attempted to force their way into the cemetery in order to dump dirt over Mukhtar’s grave.

According to SP Ghazipur Omveer Singh, “Many people have returned, and the remainder are gradually departing.”The individuals attempting to stir up trouble have been captured on camera. Any person who raises a slogan against the code of conduct will be labeled as one of these individuals. There will be repercussions for them.

Soil was laid over Mukhtar’s tomb as a last goodbye by his family, which included his older brother MP Afzal Ansari, former MLA Sibgatullah Ansari, nephew Muhammadabad Suhaib Ansari, and son Omar Ansari.

Abbas, the oldest son of Mukhtar, was incarcerated at Kasganj prison, hence he was unable to attend. Afsa, the late don’s wife, was also not there since she is fugitive and the state police have put a Rs. 1 lakh bounty on her head.

In the meanwhile, a photo of his kid Omar stroking his father Mukhtar’s mustache went popular on social media. Omar Ansari gave his father’s mustache one more brush, tears welling up in his eyes.

It’s true that Mukhtar Ansari loved a huge mustache. He was often seen providing advise and fiddling with his mustache.

Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh and District Magistrate Aryaka Akhauri were on the scene, providing the appropriate security directives to their subordinates.

Earlier, late at night, Mukhtar’s mortal remains traveled from Banda to his ancestral home in Muhammadabad, in the Ghazipur district. to 4:43 p.m. on Friday, the caravan departed Banda and arrived to Mukhtar’s home in Muhammadabad, Ghazipur, around 1:15 a.m. on Saturday.
Mukhtar passed away on Thursday night at Banda Medical College Hospital after a major heart attack. He had been incarcerated at the Banda prison for more than 2.5 years.
