NIA carries out raids at 9 locations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar in terror-related case

According to authorities here, the National Investigation Agency raided nine places in Srinagar on Monday in connection with a case involving militancy.

“In a case connected to terrorist activities, the NIA searched nine locations in Srinagar,” they stated.

Together with the police and CRPF, the NIA sleuths executed the searches.

Raids are being carried out at locations connected to people who may have links to terrorism as a part of a case the agency filed in 2022.

According to the authorities, the Resistant Front (TRF), a division of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), is connected to the accused in this case.

The TRF and LeT are banned groups that have continuously encouraged and incited young people in Kashmir to join terrorist groups.

They said that the two groups are active on social media sites like YouTube, Telegram, and Twitter, where they try to recruit young people to commit acts of terror.
