NIA searches nine locations in the Valley owned by terrorists supported by Pakistan in the J&K terror plot case

Targeting members of Pakistan-backed terrorist groups that are prohibited by law and their affiliates, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out massive searches at nine different sites in the Kashmir Valley on Monday in an effort to cut off their financial and logistical assistance.

As a consequence of the searches, which were a part of the NIA’s investigation into the terror plot case that the agency had filed in Jammu and Kashmir in 2022, several digital devices carrying copious amounts of evidence were seized. In an effort to reveal and expose the plot, the confiscated digital devices and other recovered data are now being examined.

The locations that were raided belonged to Overground Workers (OGWs) and hybrid terrorists who were connected to recently established groups and affiliates of terrorist organizations that were outlawed, including Al-Badr, Al-Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM).

Locations associated with supporters of these groups were also thoroughly investigated.

“As part of its investigation into the case, which it registered suo moto on June 21, 2022, the agency’s teams cracked down on the properties and conducted elaborate searches on Monday morning,” a senior NIA officer said. The case concerns a terror scheme in which small guns, IEDs, and sticky bombs are to be used by outlawed terrorist groups and their recently established affiliates to inflict havoc in J&K.”

These groups, supported by their mentors and masters in Pakistan, have been planning terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, both online and offline, with the intention of radicalizing local youngsters and organizing overground laborers in order to disrupt the region’s peace and tranquility.

The Resistance Front (TRF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF, Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (ULFJ&K), and others are among the groups.

They were all established as fronts to carry out the evil plans of the major militant groups after they were outlawed by the Indian government in accordance with the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and they are all connected to the terrorist organizations that are prohibited.”
