Noida: A child perishes while attempting to look down from an 18th-floor apartment to call his mother

Police said on Friday that a 12-year-old student in Class 7 reportedly died after falling from the 18th-floor balcony of his house in the high-rise group housing society Greater Noida (West), also known as Noida Extension.

Around nine o’clock on Thursday night, the event occurred at the Ace Divine Society in the Bisrakh neighborhood when the boy glanced down from the balcony to summon his mother, who was in the ground level of the living complex, according to the witnesses.

According to a local police officer, the boy was alone on the balcony when the event occurred and neither of his parents were home.

“The child’s mother had just left the house to go downstairs, while the child’s father was out at work. The youngster was on the balcony and attempted to call his mother by looking down from the 18th-floor balcony, but he fell. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but he passed away,” the officer stated.

According to the authorities, the child’s father works for a local private firm and his family is from Madhya Pradesh.

Police said they had not received any complaints about the situation.
