Noida: Best Metro Station Goes to the Botanical Garden

According to a statement released by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the Botanical Garden Metro Station in Noida has been declared the winner of the best station award.

Alternatively, the best metro depot award went to the Shastri Park depot. The 30th anniversary of the DMRC’s founding was commemorated on Friday in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam.

In an official release, the DMRC also highlighted the noteworthy honors that its staff members had been given in recognition of their outstanding work throughout the previous 12 months.

The annual awards are given to recognize outstanding efforts and commitment. Every year, prizes for the best station and best depot are given out, taking into account a number of factors such as train maintenance (for depots), customer feedback, cleanliness, and station upkeep.

The DMRC presented the yearly managing director’s award to more than 70 workers in recognition of their achievements throughout the previous year. According to TOI, Mohammad Abdussueb Ahamad won the metro man of the year award, while Priti Kumari, senior station manager, was named the metro lady of the year.

Gopesh Kumar Verma, a senior station manager, received particular recognition for his noteworthy role in using and promoting the Raj Bhasha.

Furthermore, Vijendra Singh, an assistant manager of security, was also recognized with an award. According to news agency PTI, Singh’s prompt reporting of a molestation complaint at the Mandi House metro station assisted the police in resolving the delicate situation.

On December 25, 2002, the DMRC inaugurated its first corridor, which ran between Shahadra and Tis Hazari. The Delhi metro now spans around 392 kilometers and has 288 stations, including the Gurugram Rapid Metro and the Noida-Greater Noida Corridor. The Communication Bases Train Control (CBTC) signaling mechanism used by these metro trains allows for very brief frequency train movements.

Additionally, near the Noida Sector 137 Metro Station, the NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation) has opened a restaurant with the unusual concept of a metro rail coach.

The novel idea seeks to provide patrons with a brand-new, elegant eating experience akin to that of a metro train. The restaurant is open from 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM and is presently operating on a trial basis.
