Ex-Cong Leader Acharya Pramod said that Rahul Gandhi wanted to overturn the verdict in the Ayodhya case if he were elected to power

Rahul Gandhi had said that they would “overturn the directive regarding the Ram temple once the Congress government comes into power” at a meeting that followed the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Ramjanmabhoomi case, according to former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who made this revelation on Monday.

“I have served in the Congress for over 32 years, and when the Ram Mandir decision was made, Rahul Gandhi told his close allies that a superpower commission would be formed once the Congress government was formed, and they would use that authority to overturn the Ram Mandir decision, just as Rajiv Gandhi had done with the Shah Bano decision. said Acharya Pramod Krishnam.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam has taken issue with Congress’s decision to skip the pran pratishthan ritual at the Ram Mandir on January 22.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam was kicked out of the Congress in February 2024 for his “indiscipline” and for publicly criticizing the party on many occasions.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam requested an explanation from the party over the “anti-party activities” that led to his expulsion.

“K. C. Venugopal, the party’s general secretary (organization), and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge need to identify whose actions are anti-party. Is adopting the name of Lord Ram anti-party? Is visiting the anti-party in Ayodhya?..Since I am a follower of Ram, I want the Congress party to deport me for 14 years instead of 6 years, since Lord Rama was also exiled to “Vanvaas” for 14 years.

“I disagreed with several of the Congress party’s actions, such as its opposition to the abolition of Article 370. Congress ought not to have objected to this.He had said, “Congress should not have backed DMK leaders when they likened Sanatana Dharma to dengue and malaria.”

Krishnam ran for Lok Sabha in 2019 from Lucknow on a Congress ticket; however, he was unsuccessful.
