On the occasion of the home minister’s birthday, PM Modi praises Shah for his outstanding leadership

Amit Shah, the home minister, celebrated his 59th birthday on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him and praised his services to the government and the governing BJP.

Modi said on X, “He (Shah) is enthusiastic about India’s growth and making sure that the underprivileged have a higher standard of living. He has established himself as a standout administrator, significantly improving India’s security setup and advancing the cooperatives sector.

He said that Shah’s contribution to the BJP’s growth is praiseworthy and prayed “may he be blessed with a long life and wonderful health.”

Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, both Union ministers, sent him birthday greetings along with other prominent BJP members.

Shah’s outstanding commitment to the country, genuineness, and organizational prowess were commended by BJP president J P Nadda as an example for party members.

Shah, the prime minister’s personal confidant and minister of cooperation, has been instrumental in the BJP’s growth under Modi’s leadership.

He was appointed the BJP’s national president in 2014 and led the party’s national expansion as its political influence increased noticeably in numerous states, laying the groundwork for the party’s return to the Centre of Government in 2019 with a larger majority.

Shah joined the second Modi administration as a Cabinet minister and played a key role in the governing party keeping its promise to repeal Article 370, the law that granted Jammu and Kashmir special powers.

The party’s political and electoral strategy continues to be heavily reliant on the home minister.
