Only Congress keeps its word: Mallikarjun Kharge

Mallikarjun Kharge, the president of the Congress, said on Friday that while his party has carried out the pledges made during the most recent Karnataka Assembly elections, the Central BJP administration has not delivered on its commitments even after a decade.

Engaging in a meeting with Radhakrishna Doddamani, the Congress candidate, Kharge inquired as to whether the Modi administration had delivered on any of its pledges. He stated that Karnataka’s citizens are now reaping the rewards of Congress’s five promises. He questioned the crowd, “Are you benefiting from any guarantees of the Modi government?”

“Modi promised people during the previous Lok Sabha elections that his party would create two crore jobs every year if it comes to power,” Kharge said. Has he kept his word on this one? Modi pledged to return illicit funds hidden overseas and provide Rs 15 lakh to every Indian. Has anybody have fifteen lakh rupees? Additionally, Modi pledged to treble farmers’ incomes. Has the income of any farmer doubled so far?

According to him, Congress is the only body that keeps its word. If the I.N.D.I.A. wins, it would eliminate farmers’ crop debts and grant Rs 1 lakh each to a woman heading a low-income household, as well as Rs 1 lakh each to youngsters who have finished a year of apprenticeship in any enterprise for self-employment. It will also legalize MSP for agricultural products.

When Kharge was a Union minister, he founded the rail coach manufacturing plant in Yadgir area. He said that the NDA administration halted it. He was denied his desire to transform the Kalaburagi, India-based ESIC Medical Complex into the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences.

“Corrupt has come clean since joining the BJP.”

The president of AICC wanted to know how politicians who are accused of corruption by other parties came clean after joining the BJP. He stated, “It looks like the saffron party has a washing machine to help corrupt politicians come clean after joining it.”

He said that democracy will come to an end if the BJP-led NDA were to win another election. He continued by saying that people should support candidates for Congress and the I.N.D.I.A. if they want to preserve democracy and the Constitution.
