A reasonably relaxed supper is scheduled for July 17, and a more official meeting is scheduled for the following day, on Tuesday.

The Opposition will elaborately analyze its tactics to challenge the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections in 2024 on July 18.

We are strong in our unflinching commitment to confront the fascist and undemocratic forces, Congress General Secretary (Organization) K C Venugopal had stated while announcing the dates of the opposition gathering.

“We will convene the next all-opposition conference in Bengaluru on July 17 and 18, after a highly successful gathering in Patna. We have a strong plan to move the country ahead and are firm in our determination to confront the fascist and anti-democratic elements, Venugopal said.

THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD ATTEND

On Saturday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the most recent party to declare its participation.

AAP had previously said that it would not enter any coalition with Congress unless it made clear where it stood on the Delhi ordinance issue.

The Congress, however, said a day before the meeting that “we aren’t going to support it (the Center’s ordinance).””I believe the AAP will attend the meeting tomorrow. Our position is quite clear with regard to the ordinance (on control of services in Delhi). We won’t be endorsing it, he continued.

Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, and MP Sanjay Raut will also attend the “very important” meeting, according to Raut of the Shiv Sena (UBT).

“Uddhav Thackeray, Aaditya Thackeray, and I will attend the opposition meeting in Bengaluru,” he said. This meeting is crucial, according to Raut, according to the news agency ANI.

Sonia Gandhi, the chair of the Congress Parliamentary Party, is reportedly attending this meeting of the Opposition after missing the one in Patna.

Rahul Gandhi is expected to attend the meeting as well.

Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of Bengal, and Abhishek Banerjee, the general secretary of the TMC, both confirmed their attendance at the meeting on Saturday.

Lalu Prasad Yadav, the head of the RJD, said on Thursday that he will also be at the meeting.

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, will go to Bengaluru for the meeting. He has been certified by MK Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

SOURCES: EIGHT NEW PARTIES ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND.

According to reports, eight more parties that did not attend the first opposition conference in Patna would participate in the discussions on Monday in Bengaluru, according to news agency PTI.

These include the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), the Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), the Kongu Desa Makkal Katchi (KDMK), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), and the Kerala Congress (Joseph) and Kerala Congress (Mani).

PATNA’S FIRST OPPOSITION MEETING

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, convened the first opposition gathering in Patna, which was attended by around 15 parties. Every party that was running “agreed to fight the Lok Sabha elections together.”

Top representatives from 15 anti-BJP groups, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, attended the meeting.

Since then, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) of Sharad Pawar has split, and his nephew Ajit Pawar has joined the Eknath Shinde-BJP alliance in Maharashtra, which is a significant step in the case.

However, organizations like the TMC and the Congress have expressed their support for Sharad and said that this has further consolidated the opposition’s solidarity.
